A renowned archaeologist pairs with an intrepid female reporter in order to explore what seems to be the ruin of an old pyramid that has just been discovered... in the middle of the Alps! But an enigmatic and powerful organization soon tries to stop them. And for good reason: this pyramid indeed holds a secret that could reshape a part of our History.
Plot summary
When a massive avalanche in the Italian Alps reveals what seems to be the remains of an ancient pyramid located near a glacier, an esteemed US archaeologist on a mission in Egypt is urged to investigate this stunning discovery. Although he would prefer to work alone, he is forced to team up with a local and rather cheeky female journalist... the only one who has been on location since the avalanche took place. Against all odds, their first findings confirm the genuine nature of this very peculiar ruin. But soon the pair will have to deal with an enigmatic and influential organization that tries to stop them from inspecting the pyramid and that is apparently extremely interested in what the construction may contain. Banned from the archaeological site, the scientist and the reporter don't give up and decide to work together to find out who is behind this sectarian organization and what they are looking for exactly. But what they will learn during their journey, from Torino to London and then Cape Verde, will oblige them to reconsider some of their strongest convictions... Amazingly, this pyramid might indeed be the missing key needed to solve one of the greatest mysteries of Ancient History.

Despite their differences, the quite conservative archaeologist and the quite sensationalist journalist manage to work together efficiently during this extraordinary adventure. And each one learns from the other. In particular they find out what the mysterious organization, which is so interested in the pyramid, is looking for exactly: some missing documents leading to a place that no longer exists and that has never been found until now... Atlantis! And as crazy as it seems at first sight, they soon realize that this eccentric theory is not that irrational. But no one will ultimately find any document, as another deadly avalanche triggered by imprudent explorers badly damages the old pyramid freshly uncovered. They however gather enough evidence to convince a maritime scientific expedition to redeploy in the Atlantic ocean, leading to some even more promising discoveries. While this story relates partially to an old myth, it also refers to real historical facts often unknown to most of us. Such as the presence of ancient pyramids in Europe (like the thousands-year-old 120-foot-tall Cestius pyramid in the city of Roma, Italy) or the fact that, 5000 years ago, most of today’s glaciers in the Alps did not exist!
